| PAC 1000 Blood Screening Illumination
In addition to machine vision Illumination Technologies has designed and developed lightsources for several other industries. Most recently we've developed the PAC 1000, a lightsource for use in a Bio-Medical Application. It has been found that certain contagiuous diseases can be found in the blood when illuminated with the correct wavelength of light. The most signicant part of the discovery is that the concentrations for detection are one or two orders of magnitude less than any current technology. This means earlier detection and more appropriate treatment. Illumination Technologies spun of the technology into bio-Illumination Technologies and is currently working on the second generation of the illuminator.
